This is one of those books you keep on your shelf to occasionally dip into: a 600-page reference source about every significant car manufacturer in the world and many minor car makers too. Looking at the manufacturers by name in alphabetical order, the book explores the history and development of the cars from their origins to the present day.
My editing role
I was commissioned to edit the 150,000 words of copy with just four weeks’ notice before the book went to print. The editing process required me to polish much of the text and rewrite some of it.
The Encylopedia of the Car has been repeatedly reprinted.
